Beam Stability Positioning
LASER BEAM 9-10 micron WAVE LENGTH HAS MUCH LESS TURBULANCE DESTORTION IN ATMOSPHERE PROPOGATION VS. FIBER LASERS 1 micron.
For the typical atmosphere conditions and horizontal propagation 1 micron laser beam starts to have significant turbulence distortion already after 100 meters and it requires to use special adaptive optics for beam corrections.
In the same conditions 9-10 micron laser beam does not require any corrections for the distance up to 7 km.
